WinReporter® is a solution enabling rapid assessment, inventory, audit and classification of all Microsoft® Windows® components (hardware, software, Windows settings, events).
WinReporter instantly gives an updated and comprehensive vision of the Information System’s status.
Without requiring any preinstalled agents on targeted systems, WinReporter retrieves all necessary information regarding:
and stores it in a centralized ODBC database.
This information is then immediately exploitable using:
WinReporter installs in minutes on a computer running Windows NT4, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista or 2008.
The solution doesn’t require any further configuration for the environments to audit or any agent deployment.
The computers to scan and the information to be gathered are selected within a few clicks using the scan assistant.
A tool-tip explanation for each component is displayed as the curser moves over the field.
The collected information can then be displayed and printed using 58 different reports enhanced with filter and sort options as well as graphics. Customized SQL queries can also be used.
WinReporter can be scheduled to run at regular intervals to obtain updated inventories and evolution reporting.
Reports will be automatically generated and sent to specific Email recipient(s).
Using WinReporter in your environment brings you the following advantages:
ZERO Deployment
Based on an “agentless” technology, WinReporter installs in a couple of minutes and doesn’t require any deployment.
Ease of use
Selection of the target computers and the information to be captured is the matter of a few clicks using the scan assistant. Each component is explained by a tool-tip as the curser moves over its field.
Target computer selection
WinReporter can scan an entire domain or organizational unit. Computer selection can also be made by IP range(s) and/or manually. WinReporter can scan approved domains, unapproved domains as well as groups.
Entirely multithread, WinReporter adapts easily to the amount of computers or components to analyze by allowing the administrator to regulate the number of threads scanning the network.
WinReporter enables network evolution tracking and analysis by taking “network snapshots”. The snapshot manager can merge snapshots, transfer them from one database to another and delete computers within a snapshot, and renders possible multi scans for very big networks and unavailable computer management.
The list of computers generated in any report can be exported as a target computer list for RemoteExec (.rec format).
RemoteExec, an IS Decisions software, is a universal program/service pack/hotfix/patch/system action… deployer. The combination of these solutions provides a very powerful evolution management suite.
WinReporter is ODBC compatible, a simplified assistant is provided to select Access, SQL Server and Oracle.
