Whats New in V5

GFI MailArchiver 5, the latest version of GFI’s award winning mail archiving solution, has the following key features:

• PST file migration: Through agent-based email extraction, the administrator can copy emails stored in PST format on remote client machines to a centralised location, where users can then search and browse their emails.  This enables you to archive all past emails and reduce reliance on PST files.

• Auditing: GFI MailArchiver enables you to audit all user activity, and view audit data on-screen through the audit reports available.  The auditing feature helps you achieve regulatory compliance, and ensures that all stored emails have not been tampered with.

• Role Based Deployment: GFI MailArchiver 5 can be run in a distributed environment where different roles can be deployed on different machines.  This will distribute processing load across several machines and increases scalability.

• Online backups: GFI MailArchiver 5 includes added support for Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS), allowing administrators to use third-party backup products to take online backups of GFI MailArchiver archive stores without stopping the service.
